About

Our Story

The Hale County Farm and Ranch Museum preserves and shares the agricultural heritage of West Texas, honoring the families and innovations that shaped life on the High Plains.

The Hale County Farm and Ranch Museum was founded by local families determined to preserve the everyday tools and extraordinary stories of West Texas agriculture. What began as a small collection of donated equipment has grown into a rich record of regional history.

Walk our galleries and you'll find the implements that broke the prairie sod, the gear that worked the cattle, and the photographs of the people who turned a hard land into a thriving community. Each artifact carries a story of perseverance, neighborly cooperation, and pride in a day's honest work.

We are a community-supported museum, and our doors are open to families, students, and anyone curious about the roots of the High Plains.
